Product description
"Kopi Luwak" is certainly the rarest and most expensive coffee in the world. It originates from the Sumatra Island and is produced in very small quantities from a little animal locally called "Luwak". This animal goes during the night into the best coffee plantations ed feeds on the sweetest and ripest berries selecting them one by one. The gastric juices that favour its digestion create a fermentation process that is absolutely unique for coffee, thus explaining its totally different and original taste. The beans, once swallowed and then expelled by this small marsupial, are collected from earth in these coffee plantations and then disinfected, the coats containing the beans are broken and beans are washed, dried and packed into 20 kg bags.Tasting: extremely thick and strong, charachterized by a flavour of cocoa, aromatic herbs and bitter orange marmalade.
