Salon du Chocolat: three Gold Bars for Andrea Slitti
At the Salon du Chocolat 2011 Andrea Slitti has win three more Gold Bars: at the annual event organized by the Company of Chocolate, that this year has attracted more than 10.000 visitors in the Sala Maggiore of the Bologna fair for the contest Tavoletta d'Oro, the Tuscan chocolatier has win the first prize for his Slitti Lattenero 45%, milk chocolate with high content of cocoa, Slitti GranCacao 73% pure dark chocolate and Gianera dark chocolate spread.

This in certainly not the first time that Andrea Slitti is awarded as the best Italian chocolatier, and this year the Salon du Chocolat was celebrating two emblematic countries for chocolate: Switzerland and Italy. Switzerland, which is the true place of birth of chocolate, was represented from exhibitors like Ovomaltina, Aux Douceurs du Palais, Philippe Pascoet and Canonica. While Italy was represented by names such as Slitti, De Bondt, Donna Elvira, Antica Dolceria Bonajuto, Offelleria Rizzato, Domori, L'Artigiano di Giardini, Guido Gobino and La Compagnia del Cioccolato.

The Compagnia del Cioccolato awards are for the best hand-made chocolate production. Gilberto Mora, president of the Compagnia del Cioccolato said “...it is the confirmation of the high level of Italian Chocolate”.
